Five things to do in Scotland this week — from pumpkin patches to theatre

The outrageous Julian Clary has been, ahem, hard at it as an author in recent years, but is enjoying a well-deserved renaissance as a performer, in part thanks to his appearance on the new series of Taskmaster. Now you can see him playing Herod in this bombastic production of the classic Lloyd-Webber/Rice musical.

If you fancy more time in the company of the man behind the Joan Collins Fanclub, he’ll be popping into Edinburgh and Glasgow in May as part of his next comedy tour, A Fistful of Clary. Until then, do your best to resist singing along to I Don’t Know How to Love Him and Gethsemane.
