This star sign has been linked to the most serial killers

Zodiac signs can supposedly predict our futures based on the position of the stars and planets at the time we were born.

But can our horoscope indicate whether we are more or less likely to go on to become a serial killer?

British author David Jester has spent the last two years researching the star signs of some of the most notorious in both the UK and the US to find out.

His investigations revealed that Taurus — those born between April 20 and May 20 — was the zodiac sign linked to the most serial killers, according to the Mirror.

Some of the more notable Taureans include British murderers Levi Bellfield and Steve Wright, who became known as the Suffolk Strangler.

He also found that there were two dates which stood out as being the most common for murderers to be born on — April 24 and Feb. 18.

From Fred and Rose West to the Yorkshire Ripper, here’s a breakdown of some of the evilest monsters by their star sign.

Aquarius (born Jan. 20 to Feb. 18)

Aquarians are always looking for excitement and don’t take well to people who are boring.

They’re also easily angered when someone breaks a promise.

One of the most notorious Aquarian serial killers is Gary Ridgway — also known as the Green River Killer.

He murdered at least 49 women in Washington state in a killing spree spanning from 1982 until his arrest in 2001.

Ridgway picked up young runaways and prostitutes from state Route 99 in King County and brought many to his home where he strangled them to death.

He ditched their bodies in remote sites and the first few were discovered along the now-notorious Green River.

The 69-year-old was only snared two decades later when the slayings were re-examined using newly developed DNA-testing technology and a match was found.

Ridgway, who has since confessed he’s killed 71 women, is serving life imprisonment without parole at Washington State Penitentiary.

Some of the other more prolific Aquarian killers include Lee Boyd Malvo, David Birnie, Joel Rifkin, John Bodkin Adams and Luis Alfredo Garavito.

Pisces (born Feb. 19 to March 20)

John Wayne GacyGetty Images

Personality traits of those with Pisces as their star sign are typically compassionate and artistic but hate being alone or criticized.

American serial killer John Wayne Gacy was a Piscean and though he appeared to enjoy art, he definitely wasn’t compassionate.

Dubbed the Killer Clown, Gacy sexually assaulted, tortured and murdered at least 33 teenage boys and young men between 1972 and 1978 in Cook County, Illinois.

He lured them to his home where he strangled all but one — his first victim, who was stabbed to death.

Gacy buried 26 bodies in the crawl space of his home, three elsewhere on his property, and the last four were disposed of in the Des Plaines River.

He was sentenced to death in 1980 and spent 14 years on death row before being executed by lethal injection at Stateville Correctional Center on May 10, 1994.

Other Piscean killers include Robert Napper (born Feb. 25, 1966) who is being held indefinitely at Broadmoor Hospital in England for the horrific murders of Rachel Nickell, Samantha Bisset and a young child.

The serial killer is also believed to be the “Green Chain Rapist” who carried out at least 70 rapes and sexual assaults in a four-year period in the early ’90s.

Peter Manuel (born March 13, 1927), who over two years in the 1950s was responsible for almost a third of all killings in Scotland, was also a Piscean.

Aries (born March 21 to April 19)

Arians are determined, confident and enjoy challenges – but they can also be short-tempered and impulsive.

Russian serial killer Alexander Pichushkin (born April 9, 1974) was convicted of murdering 48 people in Moscow in 2007 — but he’s confessed to at least 60.

He was dubbed the Chessboard Killer after police discovered a chessboard with dates on all but two of the squares and apparently tallied up with the slayings.

The crimes were so shocking that Russia considered reinstating the death penalty, however, he is currently serving life in prison.

Other sick murderers that share his star sign include John Reginald Christie – one of the UK’s most prolific serial killers of the 20th century who is often referred to as The Rillington Place Strangler.

He preyed on young women throughout the 1940s and 1950s, killing at least eight and keeping trophies – including one victim’s pubic hair.

A necrophiliac, he kept their bodies in his home and was only captured when he illegally sublet his flat and the upstairs neighbor asked to use his kitchen where she found three bodies behind a wallpapered alcove.

He was hanged at Pentonville Prison on July 15, 1953.

Taurus (born April 20 to May 20)

Classic traits of a Taurean include being reliable, devoted, patient and hard-working – but they can also be stubborn and possessive.

They also don’t adapt well to change or like things being too complicated.

As David Jester found out, Taurus is the star sign linked to the most prolific killers, including America’s first documented serial murderer, H. H. Holmes (born May 16, 1861).

He built a booby-trapped “Murder Castle,” featuring soundproof rooms, secret passages, trapdoors and a crematorium in the basement.

Holmes lured victims with the promise of cheap lodgings.

The exact number is debated, but following his arrest, he claimed to have killed more than 200 but ultimately confessed to 27 murders before being hanged for his crimes in Philadelphia in 1896.

Taurian child killer Levi Bellfield (born May 17, 1968) is serving life sentences for the horrific murders of Milly Dowler, Marsha McDonnell and Amelie Delagrange.

The Suffolk Strangler Steve Wright (born April 24 1958) is also a Taurus and is in jail for the murders of five young women in a terrifying six-week slaying spree in 2006 that left locals terrified.

His victim’s naked bodies were found dumped in isolated spots around Ipswich, Suffolk, before his arrest – a week after his final killing.

Gemini (born May 21 to June 20)

Geminis are said to be nervous, gentle people who don’t like being on their own – not your typical serial killer traits.

But they’re adaptable to their surroundings, making them easier to hide in the dark than most.

The Yorkshire Ripper, real name Peter Sutcliffe, is possibly the most notable Gemini killer who went on a five-year slaying spree between 1975 and 1980.

Sutcliffe was convicted for the murder of 13 women and attempting to kill seven others.

The Ripper regularly used prostitutes in Leeds and the nearby areas, and his violence was thought to have been sparked after he was swindled out of money by a prostitute and her pimp.

He told police that God had sent him on a mission to kill prostitutes, and in his trial, he pleaded not guilty to murder on grounds of diminished responsibility, after being diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.

Sutcliffe is serving 20 concurrent life sentences and therefore will never be released from jail.

Other Gemini killers include David Berkowitz, Jeffrey Dahmer and Ted Kaczynski.

Cancer (born June 21 to July 22)

Cancerians don’t take criticism well and can also be moody and tenacious – traits that make them more likely out lash out.

But there are actually very few serial killers with the Cancer zodiac sign.

The most notable is Robert Maudsley (born June 26, 1953) who killed four people – three of which were while he was in prison for the first murder – not exactly your typical serial killer.

Leo (born July 23 to August 22)

Myra HindleyGetty Images

Leos are arrogant and like to be treated as the most important person in a room. They also struggle to grasp reality.

The UK’s most infamous female serial killer’s zodiac sign is Leo – Moors Murderer Myra Hindley.

Born on July 23, 1942, she was branded the most hated woman in Britain after raping and killing five young children along with boyfriend Ian Brady.

She pleaded not guilty but was convicted of three of the murders and died in prison in 2002.

Other sick Leos include Raymond Morris, John George Haigh and Anatoly Onoprienko.

Virgo (born August 23 to September 22)

One of the traits of a Virgo is a love of animals, though it’s said many serial killers begin their crime spree by torturing pets.

But Virgos are said to be rude and don’t like asking for help, instead believing they can do things by themselves.

One of America’s most infamous serial killers Albert DeSalvo, also known as the Boston Strangler, was born on September 3, 1931.

He admitted to murdering 13 women in Massachusetts between 1962 and 1964, most of whom were elderly and alone.

In an ironic turn of events, DeSalvo was murdered by another inmate in prison in 1973, after being sentenced to life.

Serial murderer Ed Gein (born August 26, 1906), whose crimes inspired the film “Psycho,” was also a Virgo.

Libra (born September 23 to Oct. 22)

Frederick WestGetty Images

Libras don’t offer traits of a serial killer and are considered gentle and caring.

But one of Britain’s most notorious murderers had this zodiac sign.

Fred West (born Sept. 29, 1941) killed and tortured young girls, including his own children, alongside his wife during the 1960s and 1970s.

The sick duo murdered and dismembered at least 10 women and children at their House of Horrors on 25 Cromwell St. in Gloucester.

West was awaiting trial for 12 killings when he hanged himself on Jan. 1, 1995.

Scorpio (born Oct. 23 to Nov. 21)

Moses SitholeAP

A Scorpio is said to be truthful and brave, but they also have tendencies to be very jealous, violent and secretive.

So not all that surprising personality traits for a murderer then.

South African serial killer Moses Sithole (born Nov. 17, 1964) was found guilty of 38 murders and 40 rapes in 1997.

Most of his victims were enticed to their assaults, and ultimately their deaths, in broad daylight after promises of employment.

They had been tied up, raped and strangled with their own underwear in a series of crimes that shocked the nation.

He was apprehended by police in October 1995 but didn’t want to go quietly and they had to shoot him in the leg before he was arrested.

It would take a further two years for the trial to conclude – in which time the death penalty had been declared unconstitutional.

Sithole was sentenced to 2,410 years in prison, with no possibility of parole for at least 930 years.

Robert Pickton (born Oct. 24, 1949) and Fritz Haarman (born Oct. 25, 1879) were also Scorpios.

Sagittarius (born Nov. 22 to Dec. 21)

Dennis NilsenFull Sutton Prison

Sagittarians love their freedom and enjoy traveling, being strong and independent.

They have a distaste for clingy people and this makes them a little less compassionate and empathetic.

But some don’t stay free and roaming the world forever.

Take the likes of British serial killer Dennis Nilsen (born Nov. 23, 1945), who was 35 years into a life sentence before he died in prison on Saturday.

He killed 15 men – dismembering and boiling some of them – and often performed sex acts over their corpses.

Nilsen confessed to murdering “15 or 16” victims, putting him behind only Harold Shipman as the UK’s most prolific murderer.

Other Sagittarian killers include Ted Bundy, Rose West and Derrick Bird.

Capricorn (born Dec. 22 to Jan. 19)

Harold ShipmanWakefield Prison

Capricorns are said to be family people, who love closeness and tradition, but they also have many dislikes and can have moods where they hate everything.

And that trait has seemingly had serious consequences in the past.

The world’s worst serial killer, Harold Shipman, known as Doctor Death, was a Capricorn — born on Jan. 14, 1946.

He is believed to have killed up to 260 people between 1975 and 1998 and is the only British doctor to have been found guilty of murdering his patients.

On Jan. 31, 2000, a jury found Shipman guilty of fifteen murders for killing patients under his care, and he was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Shipman died in his cell at Wakefield prison, one day prior to his 58th birthday.
