The people of Superiorland

Shawn Wolfman has lived in the Upper Peninsula for the majority of his life with the exception of a couple times having to relocate for jobs. “I’m an artist doing murals, paintings and illustration work,” he said. “I spend most of my time trying to be productive with a wide array of projects.” Wolfman said he’s loved being creative as long as he can remember. “When I was young I was inspired by my grandmother who was also an artist,” he said. During the colder months, Wolfman keeps multiple projects going at a time to avoid getting burned out. In the summer, he can be found outside enjoying the outdoors through hiking, camping and exploring the “beauty and tranquility of the U.P.” Wolfman’s work can be found on Instagram at ShawnWolfmanArt.
