Leading chef celebrates after Aberdeen restaurant named Scotland’s best

The Aberdeen chef behind a swanky Rosemount eatery is celebrating after it was named Scotland‘s best restaurant at an awards ceremony.

Graham Mitchell, owner of Tarragon, delivered a heartfelt thanks to customers and staff after the restaurant scooped the gong at the Scottish Entertainment and Hospitality Awards on Friday evening.




The fine-dining venue opened six months ago and has gone from strength to strength ever since, earning a coveted AA Rosette just days ago.

Its website describes Graham as a ‘culinary visionary’ and boasts of an ‘opulent atmosphere’ with decor ‘as exquisite as the cuisine’.

Taking to social media after the win, Graham said: “Tarragon By Graham Mitchell Best Restaurant in Scotland 2023!!!!! A massive thank you to all our amazing customers and to the tarragon team!!

“We love you guys!! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication since opening!! Away to party with martin kemp!!! Laters!!!!”
