Kettle Chips partnership with Scotland entertainment venues

The exclusive three-year agreement with the Scottish Exhibition Centre Ltd, which operates the SECC and The Hydro, will see Kettle Foods provide the venues with a range of delicious hand cooked Kettle Chips.

Jim Couchman, Kettle Foods head of impulse sales said: “At Kettle, we are focused on making the very best, tastiest chips and are really pleased to be able to share them with visitors to the new Hydro complex. With more than 2 million people expected per year, this partnership will provide excellent exposure for our brand and new products, whilst also allowing us to enhance our engagement with the trade.”

Peter Duthie, commercial director of the SECC, said: “We are delighted to be working with Kettle Chips at such an exciting time for the venue with the opening of our new 12,000 seat purpose built entertainment arena just eight months away. Today’s announcement of Kettle as one of our official suppliers once again reflects the level of interest that The Hydro is attracting in securing such prestigious brands as partners.

“Already, annual sponsorship income in excess of £2.5m has been secured for The Hydro – more than 8 times the original business plan projection which was based on what had been achieved at that time by other venues in the UK.

“Although the current climate is difficult the fact that we are in a position to provide direct access to highly targeted audiences is a major factor in our emerging success in this area.”
