Harrison Ford injured as filming takes place in Scotland

Harrison Ford has injured his shoulder in a fight scene rehearsal ahead of filming on location in Scotland.

The Holywood legend is starring in the fifth instalment of the Indiana Jones series and his accident means the shooting schedule is having to be rejigged.

Filming took place in Biggar, South Lanarkshire, earlier this month, but the 78-year-old was not visible.

Actors in the Indiana Jones production could be seen dressed as Nazis, as the hero’s villains are set to make a return.

The film’s plot has been kept tightly under wraps but photos of stunt actors racing on motorbikes through the village of Glencoe gave a clue to the setting.

The bikes appeared to be from the World War Two era and were followed by a production vehicle with a large camera rig attached.

A Disney spokesperson said: “In the course of rehearsing for a fight scene, Harrison Ford sustained an injury involving his shoulder.

“Production will continue while the appropriate course of treatment is evaluated, and the filming schedule will be reconfigured as needed in the coming weeks.”
