Gerard Butler films himself singing national anthem at Scotland game

Gerard Butler was spotted enjoying the atmosphere at Hampden Park on Tuesday night ahead of the 150th Anniversary heritage international friendly match between Scotland and England.

The Hollywood A-lister was spotted singing the national anthem just minutes before the first whistle blew and Steve Clark’s men took on England.

However, the result most likely left the Paisley-born star disappointed as Scotland were defeated 3-1.

Goals from Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham put England ahead and though a Harry Maguire own goal made things interesting, he later put the game to bed.

Sir Rod Stewart was also amongst the crowd cheering on Scotland with his son Alastair

The Maggie May singer donned a tartan blazer as he was snapped smiling with a pal.

The PS I Love You star was also spotted supporting the national rugby team at Murrayfield as they brushed aside Georgia in a World Cup 2023 warm-up last month.
