Florida vs LSU: Betting odds for Gators-Tigers basketball on Saturday

Florida basketball is set to host the LSU Tigers on Saturday, March 4, in the final game of the regular season that also serves as Senior Night for departing members of the Orange and Blue. It has been a rough campaign for both programs and the Gators are hoping to squeeze another win out of their Southeastern Conference foes to help Todd Golden avoid a sub-.500 record in his debut campaign.

The gang from Gainesville bring in a 15-15 record overall along with a 8-9 mark in SEC play into the matchup, sitting at No. 60 in the NET rankings, No. 51 in ESPN’s Basketball Power Index and No. 61 in the Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings. The boys from the bayou are 13-17 overall and 2-15 in the SEC, occupying the No. 154 spot in the NET rankings, No. 135 in the BPI and No. 151 in KenPom.

The two programs have met on the parquet over a hundred times and LSU holds the upper hand with a 66-50 record overall dating back to 1947, when the Tigers came away victoriously from a neutral ground matchup. The bayou boys hold a series-high 12-game winning streak from 1979 to 1983 while the rowdy reptiles maxed out at six from 2010 to 2014.

The Gators are favored by 7.5 points over the Tigers according to BetMGM. Here are the full odds as of 8:30 a.m. EST Saturday.

Florida has a solid 9-5 record in the O’Dome this season, which inherently gives the Gators the edge on Saturday. Because they beat LSU previously and have been coalescing in Colin Castleton’s absence, the Orange and Blue should have this one in the bag.

Florida 82, LSU 71
