Film Bang’s new Jobs Board connects workers with freelance film and television positions

The film and television industry directory, Film Bang, has been working with BECTU Vision to help improve recruitment processes within film and television production in Scotland.

With support from Scottish Enterprise and Screen Scotland, they’ve created a Jobs Board which will enable film and television productions to list job opportunities and for practitioners to be notified when roles are available.

Film Bang’s Amy Hamilton said: “I am so pleased to have been able to add this new function to the Film Bang website.  Our new Jobs Board provides one place where productions can find the crew they are looking for and crew can be notified quickly and easily as roles become available.

We have been linking freelance crew with job opportunities in the film and television industry for many years and want to continue to do so by developing the service that we provide through our website.”

Screen Scotland’s Steven Little said: “Screen Scotland aims to deliver as many opportunities as possible to Scotland based crew and a more transparent recruitment process through the Film Bang Jobs Board is another step in the right direction. Film Bang has been a part of the fabric of Scottish filmmaking for decades, and this is just another evolution in its history of serving Scottish crew.”

BECTU Vision’s Linda Fraser said: “By providing a trusted platform for listing and accessing crew job opportunities, this new development provides a mechanism to help practitioners find work whilst also enabling productions to crew up efficiently.

We’re grateful to Film Bang for taking the lead on creating this important piece of infrastructure and to both Scottish Enterprise and Screen Scotland for supporting the initiative.”

Anyone can list production jobs on the new Jobs Board by creating a log-in account on the Film Bang website and Film Bang subscribers can view jobs and opt-in to receive notifications of new job listings via their account profile.
