Budget airline launches FOUR new flights to winter sun hotspots

SCOTS will be able to escape the snow and freezing temperatures easier this winter and head to fabulous sunshine destinations, thanks to new flights.

Low-cost airline easyJet has announced five new winter routes from both Edinburgh and Glasgow airports, including to the Canaries and Morocco.

Seats are now on sale now to the Moroccan holiday resorts of Agadir from Edinburgh and Marrakech from Glasgow.

There will also be winter flights to the ever-popular Canary destinations of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote from Glasgow.

easyJet, Scotland’s largest airline, will also run a year-round service to Prague for city break lovers.

The announcement means there will be thousands more package holidays available across both Europe and North Africa from Scotland.

The winter flights to Lanzarote from Glasgow will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays from October 27, with fares from £32.99pp.

Glasgow to Fuerteventura flights will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays from October 30, with fares starting from £33.99pp and Glasgow to Marrakech will operate twice a week on Mondays and Fridays from November 11, with fares from £37.99pp.

The new year-round city route from Glasgow to Prague will launch on November 7 and operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays with fares from £32.99pp.

And the new Edinburgh to Agadir service on Wednesdays and Saturdays, will also be year-round, starting from November 6 with fares from £38.99pp.

Package holidays will also be available on new routes at easyJet holidays, with a week half board at the 4* Beatriz Costa & Spa Hotel in Lanzarote from £480pp leaving Glasgow on November 24.

“These winter services will allow travellers to escape the colder months, soaking up the sun-believable Moroccan heat. We’re sure this new route will be welcomed by passengers seeking a winter getaway.”
