23 Black Friday travel deals for 2023 – the best holiday deals and discount codes

I’ve listed some of the best Black Friday travel deals for 2023 below.

Don’t forget to factor in discounted vouchers – IrelandHotels.com is offering a €20 eCard with sales of its Go Anywhere card of €200 or more, for example, while the Choice and O’Callaghan hotel groups have 20pc off their vouchers.

While booking hotels direct can often bag pricing discounts, online travel agents like Hotels.com and Booking.com (which has 30pc off select hotels) are also worth checking for Black Friday deals.

As always, a word of caution. Ireland’s Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) will be cracking down on fake discounts ahead of Black Friday and during the Christmas sales periods.

“The CCPC will be actively inspecting retailers, both online and in stores, to check for compliance,” it said.

With travel, I always advise approaching deals as you would any other purchase – pay attention to applicable dates, minimum spends or blackout days (eg. bank holidays), and check the T&Cs.

It’s worth inspecting claimed savings (phrases like “savings of up to”, for example, and how discounts are calculated). And there may be added protection for you in buying from licensed and bonded Irish travel agents.

€100 off with Aer Lingus

Aer Lingus’s Black Friday sale took off early, offering €100 off return flights on its North American network. It also has €200 off business class return fares, and up to 25pc off European flights. Book by November 27, for travel from December 1 to March 14 of next year. aerlingus.com

 €200 off Marella Cruises

TUI’s Marella Cruises has no minimum spend on its Black Friday cruise offer. You can save €200 per booking on Canary Island and Med cruises of seven days or more (use the code BFCR200). Book by November 27 for cruises departing between January 1 next and April 30, 2025. tuiholidays.ie

€150 off with Crystal Ski

Crystal Ski’s Black Friday offer sees €150 off any new ski holiday booking up to April 30, 2025. Use the code BF150 when booking – the offer expires on November 27, and there’s a minimum spend of €1,000. Ski packages typically include flights, transfers and accommodation, but not equipment hire, lift passes or tuition. crystalski.ie

40pc off Lough Erne Resort

Lough Erne Resort says it has up to 40pc off stays, golf and afternoon tea deals. Midweek B&B with a bottle of Prosecco starts from £159/€184 per room on its website. Travel Department’s Black Friday offers apply to holidays from January 1 to August 31 2024, and it has €75 off packages of eight nights or more (use the code BF75), €50 off holidays of seven nights (BF50) and €25 off holidays of six nights or less (BF25). 20pc off at Club Med

Club Med’s Black Friday Sale has “up to 20pc” off per person on all-inclusive holidays booked between November 21 and 28, with discounts of up to €900, it says. As one example, a holiday at La Rosiere in France starts from €2,248 per adult with return flights from Dublin included – down from €2,692pp, based on a March 10 departure. Cruise Discounts

Royal Caribbean has up to €700 off select cruises, and kids’ offers from €99pp. Celebrity is offering 75pc off the second guest, while Princess Cruises’ Black Friday deals include special offer fares from €463pp (a seven-night Caribbean cruise departing next March, with €250pp off flights). royalcaribbean.ie; celebritycruises.com; princess.com

20pc off O’Callaghan hotels

Holidays under €1,000 with Sunway

Sunway has 15pc off spring holidays to Tenerife, and several long-haul Black Friday travel deals. A seven-night, four-star package to Thailand’s Phuket Centara Kata Resort, for example, starts from €879pp including flights and hotel, based on two sharing. Ryanair’s Black Friday week

Ryanair has a slightly different Black Friday and Cyber Monday model, running a new sales wheeze each day from November 21 to December 1. The lowest fares I’ve seen start from €14.99, but check back daily for the new deals – as always, flexibility on where and when you travel will unlock the best prices. ryanair.com

The Co Meath escape has a ‘Winter Treat’ offer for Black Friday – bundling B&B and a bottle of wine for two from €150. The overnight stay is discounted from €230, it says, available Sunday to Thursday, and includes a €10pp dining credit (minimum spend of €30pp). Generator and Freehand Hotels, self-described “hybrid accommodation brands”, have 50pc off sales at city centre locations in the US and Europe. 25pc off at Spain’s Paradores

Spain’s state-run network of historic and cultural hotels and restaurants is celebrating Black Friday with up to 25pc off its gift boxes. The offer runs to November 24, and the gift boxes (vouchers) can be physical or downloaded digitally – the discounts apply to bookings in January and February of next year. paradores.es

€60 off a Camino

Navan’s Uwalk.ie has up to €60pp of its Camino trips for Black Friday – an offer that applies to groups of six or more on both self-guided and ‘Travel Solo Not Alone’ groups next year. If you spend a minimum of €2,000 on your holiday, that is.
